Operations Officer – Climate Resilient Program

About the role

The Operations Officer will ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of the Kiribati Climate Resilient Rural Development (KORAKORA) program. You will provide essential operational, administrative and logistical support to help deliver climate‑resilience, food‑security, water‑security and infrastructure initiatives across Kiribati’s outer islands.

Key responsibilities

• Office administration and records management.
• Financial administration, including purchase orders, payment approvals and expense claims.
• Coordination of events, meetings and training sessions.
• Procurement and supplier administration.
• Asset and office management.
• General logistics and operational support for program activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in operations and/or administration roles.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and customer‑service abilities.
• Excellent planning, prioritisation and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence.
