Operations & Finance Manager – Tarawa, Kiribati

About the role

The Operations & Finance Manager will lead and strengthen the operational systems of the Kiribati Climate Resilient Rural Development (KORAKORA) Program, ensuring efficient delivery of climate‑resilience, food‑security, water‑security and infrastructure initiatives across Kiribati’s outer islands.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial management, budgeting, reporting and donor compliance.
• Manage procurement, logistics and supply chain activities.
• Direct human‑resources and administration functions.
• Implement risk management, safety, security and compliance processes.
• Maintain asset, records and information management systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Team Leader and Program Manager to align operations with program objectives.

Required profile

• Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, Finance, International Development, Social Sciences or related field.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior operational or finance management role, preferably within donor‑funded programs.
• Strong background in financial management, budgeting, reporting and compliance.
• Excellent organisational, planning and communication abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and web‑based systems.
• Ability to work independently while leading and supporting a diverse team.
